At Grazing Platters, we are deeply committed to operating in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner. Our mission is to minimise carbon emissions, decrease our environmental footprint across all facets of our operations, and foster a company culture centred on community and environmental stewardship.

We take pride in our approach to catering, with all our offerings freshly prepared in our kitchens. This not only ensures quality but also reduces the need for excess packaging often associated with individually wrapped or pre-packaged food items.

Through longstanding partnerships with trusted suppliers and local producers, we prioritise the sourcing of ethical products while emphasising sustainability and waste reduction. In particular, we are proud to own a small flock of chickens that play a crucial role in our efforts to reduce food waste. Scraps and leftovers from our kitchen are carefully collected and repurposed as feed for our chickens. This innovative approach creates a closed-loop system that minimises waste while also providing our chickens with nutritious food.

To further minimise our environmental impact, we have integrated renewable energy sources into our operations. We have installed 42 solar panels on our premises, harnessing the power of the sun to generate clean electricity. This renewable energy source helps reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and lowers our carbon footprint.

In addition to sustainable sourcing and renewable energy, we use biofilm, a biodegradable cling wrap, in our packaging process to reduce plastic waste and contribute to a healthier planet.

By preparing food to order, we actively minimise food wastage and spoilage, contributing to a more efficient and responsible food system.

Additionally, we are dedicated to proper waste management practices. All rubbish is meticulously separated for recycling, further enhancing our commitment to environmental preservation.
